Watch the wild giant bird, ”Steller’s sea eagle” and “white-tailed eagle” in the river

Steller’s sea eagle and white-tailed eagle are designated as a national natural treasure. Every winter, a lot of these birds come from Russia to eat salmon that goes up to the Yurappu River in Yakumo town.

Why don’t you look for such a valuable and cool Steller’s sea eagle and white-tailed eagle with our local guide?  The encounter rate is over 90%!  These eagles are over 2m, so you can watch with the naked eye.

Schedule of the activity

1. Meet at Yakumo Village (SENTŌ)

2. Go to each spot where you can see Steller’s sea eagle and white-tailed eagle

You can watch salmon from the bridge if you are lucky.

3. Coffee break (hot coffee or hot milk) while watching the eagle

You can watch swans at the same place if you are lucky.

4. Take photos
